In 2019, an opportunity arose to work with Redwings’ Horse Sanctuary to achieve a piece for their new memorial gardens within their Caldecott site.
Briefs began with images and tales of ‘Welbeck’ who was retired to Redwings’ after serving our mounted police. Over 3 months, those briefs leads to designs which turned into this lifesize draft horse, made from approximately 7000m of steel wire.
